Rendezvous Days
Open to the public September 24th & 25th

We will be at Fort Atkinson to participate in the Fort Atkinson Rendezvous. This is the only fort in the United States that was built for the protection of the Indians. We will be there from the 22nd - 26th, then travel directly over to the Big Island Rendezvous in Albert Lea, Minnesota.

The leaves are falling, a chill is in the air but maybe you can get in just one more outside adventure with the family before the snow flies and you're stuck inside
for the winter and what seems an eternity. If I could tell you only one thing about
this event it would be, "Don't plan on visiting just a couple hours, you better plan
on the whole day, there is that much to see.

This is truly an amazing event, one that is as historically accurate as you can get in a one weekend a year event here in the Midwest. As you walk from the parking area to the crest of the hill you will see an awe inspiring site of white canvas tents in a wide varity of shapes and sizes and yes, there will be Tipis there. You will see all sorts of craftsmen working at their trade as did craftsmen some 200 years ago and all will be willing to tell you about the history of their craft if you have the time to listen.
