I don't know if you've ever seen a Beaver close up but they certainly wouldn't win any beauty contest.

The enlarged photo at the left and other enlargements throughout our web site will give you an idea of the detail that is engraved into each design and captured with our reproduction process. You can see how each twig or branch is interwoven to create the dam, It looks like you can reach in and pick up the birch tree. You can see a couple little trickles of water coming through the dam, maybe that's what the Beaver is trying to plug up.
