MOUNTAIN MAN CREED
I'm a mountain man by the almighty. I'm
the original iron jawed, brass mounted,
copper bellied corpse maker from the
wilds of the Colorada.

My Mama was a mountain lion and my
Daddy was a bore grizzly, and I'm kin to
the earthquake on my mama's side.

I've got the fastest horse and the ugliest dog.
I've got the straightest shootin' rifle this side
of the Missisippi River. This child's seen a
heap a livin' now.

When I was young and I told my Ma & Pa
I was headed for the mountains to be a
mountain man.

Why they acted like they were gut shot,
they said don't go up there son, there ain't
nothin' up ther but savages and wild animals.

This is where the people is, make your livin'
here. But I had to see the mountains, I'm a
mountain man.

Both "Visions of a Trapper" designs, the shelf mount (shown left) and the wall mount with 2 large eagle feathers, have, as the focal point, a scrimshaw willow hoop with a beaver skin laced within as the mountain men did to stretch and dry them.

These designs are a tribute to all the mountain men and the hardships they
endured. The design inserts that are mounted on the beaver skin, within the hoop represent visions of things they may have seen on the mountain trails.

NOTE: Both "Visions of a Trapper" mount designs include insert designs
that are not Limited Editions. However, the mounts themselves are limited to 250 of each design.

Oval Walnut Base is approx. 4-1/2" wide. Overall height is 4-1/2".
